Independent, by design.

Membership pays for presentation and tools. It does not buy a recommendation, a ranking, or a verified status.

  1. Step 1

    Registration check

    Each surgeon's GMC registration, licence to practise and specialist register entries are checked against the public register.

  2. Step 2

    Credential review

    Stated qualifications and memberships are checked with the issuing body where it is possible to do so. Each verified item shows its verification date.

  3. Step 3

    Clinic registration

    Clinics are checked against the relevant regulator, such as the Care Quality Commission in England.

  4. Step 4

    Ongoing review

    Checks are repeated periodically. Profiles that lapse are suspended until re-verified.

What we do not do.

  • We do not assess clinical outcomes or surgical skill.
  • We do not recommend one surgeon over another.
  • We do not publish reviews we cannot verify.
  • We do not give medical advice.
